Premium Asset Services is a debt buyer based in Santa Ana, California. They are related to another collection agency called “Worldwide Recovery, LLC.” In fact, though Premium Asset Services and Worldwide Recovery are two separate corporations, they do seem to share office space and they possibly have common ownership.
They have been known to collect old Rooms-to-Go accounts. Their business location is:
Premium Asset Services, LLC
2414 South Fairview St, Ste 10
Santa Ana, CA 92704
I have sued Premium Asset Services before, though I cannot divulge the details of the suit due to client confidentiality concerns. As far as I know, they are not an offshore payday lender scam outfit. They do actually exist and they do seem to buy non-payday loan retail accounts. If they are bothering you, give me a call.
Joe says
This company has several offices, not just at the Fairview St location. They are also at 1820 E Garry Ave #107, Santa Ana, CA 92705 and “worldwide asset recoveries LLC” is at 2641 hamner ave #209 norco ca. They have another office in huntington beach as well. All scam offices ran by James Trent.
Attorney Judson E Crump says
Interesting information. I’m sure folks will find it useful. I can’t say whether or not some of their activities are scams, but I can say that the corporation does exist with the California Secretary of State’s office and they have responded to lawsuits in the past.
JOE says
Well I do use the word scam lightly, they are indeed well known for violating the fdcpa and getting sued. To the point of having been shut down and coming back with a new name. They are formally known as Shekinah, Inc dating back about a decade. Many of the employees from the original business are still managers today. Jim trent has been known for encouraging his own workers to invest their personal money into the portfolios he buys, despite the fact that he resells any valuable paper and leaves the floor with the leftovers. This may be why his employees (independent contractors) resort to illegal methods for collections, and often use fake names over the phone. One important piece of advice for anyone is to get the correct address and phone number, so that a proper cease and desist letter can be sent out. Of course they won’t just give it to you, tell them you’re headed out to their area soon, and would like to pay in person 🙂

The Past 2 days these people have been calling me telling me I owe a debt from years ago and they are going to send legal action my way. I have told them it’s not my debt and to stop they haven’t. The woman that first spoke to me was rude and the Man Bob Alexandar was just as rude. He said his personal phone number is 714-975-7605. The number that calls you just shows up as 657. I asked him why and he said I don’t know. I don’t owe this debt and I am not paying them a dime. I called HSBC where the credit card was out of… They told me it would be impossible for them to be chasing an orchard bank account because they haven’t had those in almost ten years. I truly believe this is a scam and I am being harassed. Who should I contact. Any help would be great! I am shaking right now from the way they talk to you.
Attorney Judson E Crump says
Jen,
First – DON’T LET THEM GET TO YOU. They can’t do any of the stuff they’re claiming to be able to do. What they will do is conduct a basic computerized investigation of you (they probably obtained your name, address, and SSN from a list of clients they bought from a previous creditor of yours). And they use this information to make it seem like they know about you and that they can get to you. It’s just a scare tactic. Where are you located? I know lawyers across the country that do what I do and I may be able to refer you to someone who can handle this case.
Jen says
I am in NH. They have now started calling my in laws in Massachusetts telling them they are a law office and asking them to confirm information. I can’t sleep at night. These people called my in laws 8 times today and my father in law is very ill. What should I do now?
JOE says
Do not be afraid of anyone calling you from this number. Do not give them any money. I’ve spoken with Bob many times (his real name is roberto alexander), ask him if they are legit, why do most of their staff use fake names? “Bob”‘s manager goes by David Ethan, his real name is Darryl Thrower. Check your credit report to see if they are putting hits on you (it may show as platinum holdings group) and contact an attorney as suggested.

I have been contacted by them as well and had authorized them to withdraw from my bank monthly. In checking my account I just realized that they are taking out double the amount u der another name same amount. I am going to file a fraud claim with my bank. I have placed calls to them and get a message and Alexia Anderson dies not call back. Is there anything else I can do to recoup the money that they have already taken out? Can someone please let me know? I’m in Texas. They have called family members also.
Tiffany says
I do owe the debt they’re calling me about. Are they a legit debt collector? I just want to know if I pay my debt, will I stop being called?
Attorney Judson E Crump says
Never pay a debt collector without first obtaining proof that they are the rightful collector. You are entitled to a validation of the debt upon request. Some debt collectors actually STEAL collection portfolios from other firms, so in order to guarantee that you’ll actually benefit from paying, you must know that their the rightful owner of the debt.
Honestly, I can never recommend paying Premium Asset Services. I’ve never seen them properly validate any debt. Maybe that will change one day, but until you see paper proof that you owe them, don’t send a dime.
Call your attorney general’s office and make a complaint against them.
Age says
They have been harassing me as well. Telling me they verified my employment and know where I work and live and are going to go straight to my payroll dept?! Craziest thing I’ve ever heard! I do owe the debt but can I sue them for their illegal collecting process?
JACK says
Please respond asap. I received a summons to appear in court at my job last Thursday from these people, my court date is in just over 20 days. Do I have to show up and is it legal for them to serve me at work?
Attorney Judson E Crump says
If you’ve received a genuine court summons, you need to talk to a lawyer licensed to practice in your area. This is unusual for Premium Asset Services – I’ve never heard of them actually suing anyone. But it isn’t impossible, I suppose. What state do you live in? I know lawyers all over the country and may be able to refer you to someone who can help you.

I just tried to get this company to stop calling my ex mother in law of 14 years and they just got nasty. Little do they know I can be just as nasty as them. They have called her several times, telling her that they need to contact me regarding my property foreclosure. I haven’t seen my ex mother n law in years, I only learned of them contacting her by my ex husband.
First off, I have not own any property since my divorce. Secondly if this was true, it was none of her business either. What they are calling about is a bad debt from 5 years ago. The nasty woman I was talking with didn’t want to give me there mailing address but finally did. So I decided to talk with her, Well I tried too. I made on mistake by using my company cell phone because after i hung up, this woman called my work and wanting to verify employment. I told her just who she was speaking to, which was the person she wanted to verify employment on. I told her than she better not call my work at all.
So I have decided I am going to play there game, instead of them calling me each day I will be calling them everyday from now on and give them the shit they like to throw at everyone they speak too.
I WILL NOT TAKE THERE CRAP and if I didn’t pay this debt 5 years ago i surely will not be paying it now
good luck world wide or premium asset services or whoever you are……………….
Attorney Judson E Crump says
There you go, Donna!
It sounds like you already realize that you don’t have to take this kind of treatment sitting down. I think you’re on the right track.

Hello – I am currently being harassed by Premium Asset Services. I am in the state of California (Bay Area). They are calling me and my coworker. I have asked them to stop calling my coworker and they continue to do so. They call me from a 714 area code and their calls also show up as “no caller ID”. When they answer the phone, they do not state their company, the just say “office”. Very sketchy!!
The original debt was with HSBC for around $900 from back in 2008/2009. They are claiming I owe them $3616. They said the difference in amounts is due to accrued interest. I have never received anything in writing from them validating they own the debt. They said they are going to garnish my wages and file a 1099 with the IRS. The “manager” I spoke with was loud, completely over-talked me the entire time, and threatening. He kept asking me if I wanted to settle “right now” and make it all go away. He said that I could pay for a portion of it upfront and transfer a balance to a credit card. When I continued to question him and ask questions about validating who they were, the debt..etc, he basically said “get an attorney” and hung up on me and then continued to call me through out the day.
Any advice on how to stop them from calling my coworker and how to deal with them???

I just had a call from this company from “dave webber” basically called me a piece of crap. The ring i bought was for my fiance who passed away and he asked me how it felt to have her wearing a ring that i didn’t pay for. I told him she passed away and he continued to harass me. Then when i asked for there address they refused. I’m from Pennsylvania how do i get then for harassment.

I worked for World wide asset recoveries out of Norco. They go by Premium Asset Services, which is their head quarters and main office, out of Santa Ana. I resigned there back in August and am unable to retrieve my 401 k profit sharing. I have been trying since November 14, 2014. Danielle Reivas, Plan administrator, will not forward my info to ADP, nor will she return any of my phone calls.

i have been dealing and paying premium asset services for a debit i actually owe to chase bank they threaten to take me to court over the balance, settlement was 2900 which is the balance owed without interest which would be 7000 they said..they never mailed me a letter nor did they try and contact me (they had no phone number) but they did get a hold of my brother at his house and my 91 year old dad at his house..they gave the details of the debt to my dad and brother meaning the debit of 7000 and the fact a sheriff would deliver a subpoena..i have paid 900 in 45 days but still owe 1600 by the end of october can i do anything about the violation of the fair credit reporting act about disclosures of my details to my brother and parent..i thought they were not allowed to contact parents unless i was a minor (not sure if thats true) but i did think they were not allowed to discuss the debit with parents or siblings..thanks in advance… sincerely stressed out…also if they did send me a subpoena form california to florida would i have to fly to california or would the court order be for my county in florida..the debit is now 1600 they said if its not paid by oct 30 that even if i paid 1000 by oct 30 i would still owe the 600 (of course) but they would add on a late charge of 150 to that 600

Hello,
These people are calling me. Actually I had 3 debt collectors calling me to try and collect on the same debt. Back in 2007 I had a credit card from HSBC. My husband and went through a really rough time and we weren’t able to pay it. I called HSBC and I was told by then that CSC ( Credit Solutions Corporation) actually does own the account. Whom I have since made payment arrangement to pay off the debt. But before learning this, I had made arrangements with these people. I canceled my bank card so they are unable to take the money from my account. They are now harassing me, I am also getting harassing phone calls from another debt collector (888) 247-7123. They call anywhere from 2-10 times daily. they are looking for money for the same account. They were actually the first company to contact me. The company I actually made the arrangement with to pay the debt with I actually haven’t gotten a phone call from I got a letter in the mail. The other one has an address that I haven’t lived at in over 8 years. They are now calling my family members, and leaving threatening messages with them for me. Can you help me? You can contact me at (239) 470-5075. You can call any day after 1 pm.
Thank you,
Patricia Hoffman

Dave called me today. He threatened a 1099C on me for a debt that is 15 years old. The statue of limitation is 6 years in PA. I told him I know the laws, because I’ve dealt with his kind before. He tried to tell me that the statue does not apply, and that I still owe. The more I gave him facts the more agitated he became. As soon as I mentioned that they would be hearing from my attorney, he hung up on me.

I have been contacted by Matt Connors from Worldwide Recoveries, LLC. I normally do not accept calls from the number 951-475-3138 as in the past they have tried to tell me I owe on a loan from 2008.
This gentleman called on a local number which appeared to be from inside my workplace so I answered. Gave a name of a person who is employed by the company and said he needed to transfer to this gentleman.
I have not paid anything & have been threatened with wage garnishment. They also contacted an associate of mine. Fortunately this person would not transfer the call so Mr. Connors became very rude and hung up.
Could you tell me if this is legit and is wage garnishment something they could do? I have been advised to send them a cease & desist letter.
Any suggestions?

What should I do? I have not given them any personal banking info. how do I get them to stop? I can not afford an Attorny. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
